Kao Data’s new and exciting campaign launch titled Critical Careers: Celebrating Women in Digital Infrastructure, is currently underway aiming to showcase women’s impact within the digital infrastructure sector, focusing on diverse stories, careers as well as industry contributions. As the data centre industry continues to remain the backbone of the global digital economy, this book celebrates the women pushing for innovation, resilience, and growth at its core.
Given the current shifts in commercial applications to further support AI, cloud, and enterprise innovations, this collection offers honest and insightful interviews with women from different backgrounds, geographies, ages, and disciplines. This project collates a wide breadth of life experiences and roles, from engineering to real estate, marketing to HR, with many of these stories coming from a variety of industry pioneers, rising professionals, and well-known leaders; each equally important in their own right, with their societal impact touching nearly every aspect of modern life.
“Critical Careers aims to celebrate the remarkable women who are thriving in digital infrastructure. We wanted to take an in-depth look at the countless, impactful contributions women from all disciplines and at all stages of their careers are making to the industry,†said Kalay Moody, Chief People Officer at Kao Data. “What we discovered is that no two stories are the same, but together they reflect the importance of diverse experiences in driving progress and innovation in mission critical infrastructure.â€
“Women in the data centre industry bring a balance that is essential for holistic problem-solving and innovation. By integrating different perspectives and approaches, teams can achieve more balanced and effective solutions,†said Cláudia Alves, Google’s Strategic Negotiator. “Critical Careers is showcasing all the ways women are making a difference in the data centre industry and that there’s no one way to lead, contribute, or succeed.â€
Career advancements within data centres and digital infrastructures are becoming bigger and better, with great strides being made within these sectors. The Critical Careers initiative is aiming to bring together like-minded industry professionals, helping to share their diverse perspectives and experiences. The book showcases how personal and focused each of these careers is and aims to encourage the growth of a new generation of talent to see themselves as a greater whole for this critical, global industry.
